Pleurothallis (Acianthera) saurocephala

Important note:
Flowering size means that the plant is capable of flowering. When the plant blooms depends on the plant's flowering period. Flowering size does not necessarily mean flowering.

Product information "Pleurothallis (Acianthera) saurocephala"

Origin: Central and South America

Species: about 300 (natural)

Special features: Many species come from cool cloud forests in tropical mountains, others from the warmer forests of flatter coastal regions. Can flower all year round and have no dormant period.

Location: no intense sun except during the winter months. Well suited for north windows. Rooms with high humidity are particularly popular.

Temperature: 15°C to 25°C, can tolerate a drop to 10°C at night

Watering: keep evenly moist, avoid severe dryness, also spray from 25°C. Spraying at low temperatures and little air movement easily causes leaf drop from fungal infection.

Fertilize: 1-2 times a month (in half the specified concentration)
